Microchip

A 15-digit ISO 11784/11785 microchip is required, implanted before or on the day of the rabies vaccination. Get the order wrong and CFIA won't count the vaccination as valid on its timeline.

Rabies vaccination

Required for any dog or cat over three months old, with a certificate in English or French from a licensed vet.

Rabies titre test

Not required by CFIA for either species arriving from Uzbekistan.
