Microchip

Rabies vaccination

Required, given between 30 days and 12 months before arrival in Eswatini. Dogs also need current cover against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parvovirus; cats need feline viral rhinotracheitis, panleukopenia and feline leukaemia.

Rabies titre test

Not required for a pet arriving from the United States, or from any other country, under Eswatini's own import rules. This is a genuinely different picture from the reverse direction: a pet leaving Eswatini for the US, if Eswatini is classified CDC high-risk for dog rabies, needs a serology titre or a 28-day quarantine on arrival.
