Which South Korea rules depend on a pet coming from Taiwan?
South Korea sorts countries into 2 groups, and Taiwan falls in “All other countries”.
Microchip and a rabies neutralising antibody result of at least 0.5 IU/ml (FAVN or RFFIT, sampled within 24 months before arrival) on the exporting-government certificate. APQA exempts animals under 90 days old from vaccination and the antibody test (microchip and certificate still needed). Official source
The rules that apply to every pet entering South Korea, whatever the origin, are listed with their official sources in our South Korea guide.
What does Taiwan require before your pet leaves?
We are still checking the export rules of Taiwan against official government pages, so they are not shown here yet.

FAQ
Common questions about this route
Yes. South Korea requires a rabies antibody titre of at least 0.5 IU/ml from an approved laboratory, with the blood drawn at least 30 days after the rabies vaccination. Confirm the waiting period between that blood draw and travel directly with APQA before you book anything. It is the figure that sets your earliest possible departure date, published figures for South Korea vary, and we would rather send you to the authority than give you a number that costs you a flight.
