Singapore EU-listed: no titre test and the SFA health certificate
EU Regulation 576/2013 lists Singapore as a recognised third country for pet movement. Singapore pets entering the Netherlands need only a valid ISO microchip, a current rabies vaccination (21-day wait after a primary course), and the SFA-endorsed EU-format health certificate. No titre test, no extended waiting period. Source: food.ec.europa.eu, 2026.
The SFA (Singapore Food Agency) manages animal export certification in Singapore, having absorbed the former AVS in 2019. An SFA-accredited vet issues the EU-format health certificate within 10 days of travel; SFA endorses it before departure. Singapore’s well-developed pet export infrastructure means this process is familiar to most international vets in the city.
Singapore Airlines and KLM direct to Schiphol and the Netherlands no breed ban
Singapore Airlines Cargo operates direct from Changi (SIN) to Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) and accepts live animal cargo on this route. KLM Cargo also flies SIN-AMS direct. Schiphol is KLM’s home hub and has established live animal handling facilities. The NVWA (Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority) carries out the arrival inspection at Schiphol.
The Netherlands removed its breed-specific legislation in 2008. All breeds may enter on documentation compliance alone; no breed classification is applied at the border. For Singapore families with breeds restricted in Germany or France, the Netherlands is a straightforward and permissive EU entry point.
