Kenya puts Portugal in its group “All other countries”. Import permit (VS01), health certificate dated within 10 days of embarkation (permit terms: 48 hours), rabies vaccination certificate dated 6 months to 3 years before import (permit terms: 6 to 12 months, plus titre test per DAFF).

Quarantine: Animal Diseases Rules, rule 7: if the Director is satisfied that an imported dog or cat has not been suitably vaccinated against rabies, it is detained and isolated at the owner's expense in an approved place for up to six months.
