What does Spain require for a pet arriving from Panama?
Spain applies EU Regulation 576/2013 to all pets arriving from non-listed third countries. Panama falls into that category, so the full sequence is mandatory: ISO microchip, rabies vaccination, FAVN titre test, 3-month wait, and an official Animal Health Certificate (AHC) issued within 10 days of travel.

How does the Panama export process work with MIDA?
On the Panama side, MIDA (Ministerio de Desarrollo Agropecuario) is the official export authority for companion animals. Your official veterinary health certificate must be prepared by an accredited official vet and then endorsed by MIDA before your pet leaves the country. This endorsement is not a same-day service.
