Pet Transport from Spain

Shipping your pet from Spain follows EU pet travel regulations. If you are moving to another EU country, the process uses the EU Pet Passport system. For non-EU destinations, you will need additional documentation. Here’s what you need to arrange.

Export requirements from Spain

EU Pet Passport: If travelling within the EU, your pet needs a valid EU Pet Passport issued by an authorised veterinarian in Spain

Health Certificate: For non-EU destinations, an official health certificate (Annex IV) must be issued by an authorised veterinarian within 10 days of travel

Government Endorsement: The Oficina Comarcal Agraria (OCA) or regional veterinary authority must endorse the health certificate for non-EU destinations

Microchip: ISO-compliant microchip must be in place before rabies vaccination

Rabies Vaccination: Must be current and administered after microchip. Primary vaccination valid 21 days after injection
