Rabies is the only vaccination ONSSA’s model certificates ask for. Your pet must be identified by a microchip or tattoo before it is vaccinated, and the vaccine must be an inactivated one. ONSSA’s general certificate also requires at least 21 days to have passed since the primary vaccination.
ONSSA’s model certificates for dogs and cats do not list quarantine. On arrival an ONSSA vet inspects your pet at the border post, and customs admit it on the veterinary inspection attestation.
Only for a temporary stay of under 12 months. The blood sample is taken by an authorised vet at least 30 days after the last rabies vaccination, and the result must be at least 0.5 IU/ml. A pet coming to Morocco for more than 12 months needs no titre test.
Yes. ONSSA public notice 590 of 9 February 2021 bans the import of dogs classed as dangerous: pit bull types (Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Bull Terrier), the boerboel type (Mastiff) and the Tosa.
Start with the steps that have fixed gaps. Under ONSSA’s general certificate, at least 21 days must have passed since the primary rabies vaccination, and for a stay of under 12 months the titre test sample is taken at least 30 days after vaccination.
