Importing Your Pet to Cambodia
Easy to importCambodia is one of Southeast Asia’s easier pet destinations on paper and easier still in practice. A personal pet arriving with its owner needs no import permit: the permit requirement attaches to commercial imports and manifest-cargo shipments, arranged through the General Directorate of Animal Health and Production (GDAHP), which also expects advance notice of cargo arrivals.
The document set is brief. Rabies vaccination between 30 days and 12 months old (three-year vaccines count only for their first year), DHLPP for dogs or FVRCP for cats at least 21 days out, an ISO microchip, and a government-endorsed health certificate issued shortly before travel. No titre test for pets from most countries, and no formal quarantine: arrivals are inspected and released.
