The Bolivian Embassy in Ottawa processes legalisation by mail in 1 to 2 business days once your documents arrive, a genuinely fast turnaround compared with the equivalent US process, which owners report taking one to three weeks. Postal transit time to and from Ottawa is still the main variable, so mail early regardless.
The SENASAG import permit has to be granted before the pet leaves Canada, not on arrival. Leaving this until the final couple of weeks is the most common way this route slips.
