Astana International Airport (NQZ, formerly Nur-Sultan Nazarbayev International Airport) serves the capital and has seen increased traffic since the capital was moved.
If your final destination is Almaty city or southern Kazakhstan, ALA is the obvious choice. If you are moving to Astana or northern Kazakhstan, NQZ makes more sense.
Air Astana serves both ALA and NQZ from Amsterdam Schiphol. Turkish Airlines has routes to both airports. Confirm cargo acceptance and seasonal availability on each before finalising your destination airport.
Getting from Belgium to the Air Astana flight at Amsterdam
Air Astana does not fly from Brussels directly. The airline operates from Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS). From Belgium, reaching AMS is straightforward: Eurostar and Thalys trains connect Brussels Midi station to Amsterdam Centraal in under two hours, or a short domestic flight on Brussels Airlines or another carrier.
For cargo, the BRU to AMS leg adds a small complexity but is manageable. Your IPATA agent can organise the full routing. Alternatively, Turkish Airlines or Lufthansa Cargo from BRU are simpler if you prefer a single-origin routing from Brussels.
