TAP Air Portugal is Portugal’s flag carrier and a Star Alliance member, operating from Lisbon (LIS). It connects Portugal to Europe, Brazil, the USA, Canada, Africa, and some Asian destinations.

TAP is often the airline of choice for pets moving between the UK or Europe and Portugal (including Madeira and the Azores), as well as between Europe and Brazil. Note that Madeira and the Azores have stricter pet import rules than mainland Portugal - pets arriving at these island destinations need a rabies titre test.

Small pets can travel in the cabin on TAP’s intra-European routes. Larger pets travel as cargo. This page covers TAP’s current pet policy - always verify directly with TAP before booking.
