Croatia Airlines requires IATA-compliant rigid containers for pets travelling in the aircraft hold. The crate must allow the animal to stand, turn, and lie down comfortably. Dimensions and weight charges are based on the combined weight of the animal and crate.

Pets from other EU countries can use a valid EU Pet Passport. Pets from non-EU countries (including the UK post-Brexit) need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) issued within 10 days of travel. Croatia follows standard EU pet entry rules as an EU member since 2013 and a Schengen member since 2023.
